The relatives of teens lost after a devastating fire at a venue in a Switzerland's winter destination are enduring an excruciating period of uncertainty for official news and appealing for any details about their family members online.

The fire ripped through the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Circulated footage reveal the ceiling igniting as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have warned that it could take considerable time to formally name the victims of the fire, which killed four dozen individuals and injured another 119. Officials stated on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been identified, with efforts continuing to name the other six.

In the interim, families and friends have been posting on social media to request any news about their missing relatives who were in attendance that night.

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to reports.

Her sibling has published an urgent request online, saying the family has had "no updates" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.
